Question: Have you ever noticed this? On the REAPER website, you write "A REAPER 2.0 license would have included over 100 free upgrades! " It DID include over 100 free upgrades, so use of the conditional "would" makes no sense. You mean that buying the license would have got you 100 free upgrades.

A+ for pedantry, though I suppose if we never sold a license between 2.0 and 2.01 then it would be correct?

Question: do you think you'll ever jump on the "modern web" wagon and design a kick ass web app?
Asked by Will (68.104.121.x) on August 8 2014, 3:32pm
Reply on August 8 2014, 6:27pm:
If I ever find something that I really want to use, that fits as a web app, and scales easily, sure.

Question: Thoughts on porsche boxters? Decent car or POS?
Asked by Will (24.234.85.x) on August 6 2014, 6:15pm

POS would be incredibly harsh -- but I wouldn't say they are a good value, based on what I know of 'em.

Question: Hi Justin! Do you have a favourite guitar chord?
Asked by Paul (178.56.154.x) on July 31 2014, 11:46pm
Reply on August 2 2014, 2:39am:
I like one that is (starting with the thickest string) XXYXXX, where Y is one fret away from the bridge from X. To do the two XX's on the top, I usually use my thumb. It has a nice broken sound to it. Fritz got me into that.

Question: You're obviously well above average as a programmer. You were better at 17 than most professionals ever are. A natural. Do you find it's easy for your brain to learn other things, too, such as French, or is it mostly programming you are most talented in? Your ability to self teach is pretty amazing.
Asked by Will (24.234.85.x) on July 31 2014, 6:47pm
Reply on August 2 2014, 2:40am:
I think I find grammar relatively easy when it comes to other languages, for example, but vocabulary and pronunciation less so (the latter includes English as well).

What else is easy? Hmm not much. I guess I can do a decent job at reading contracts/legal text too, but that seems similar to programming.

Question: What would you code if it wasn't REAPER ? (i.e. are there similar big projects you think about doing one day)

Reply on July 30 2014, 11:43pm:
I can read and write well enough, speak decent enough to eat and rest, but when people talk it's difficult unless they speak very slowly. I wouldn't say that it is a strange language though.

Question: Doesn't it seem reasonable that a utility like Cockos Pathsync should be built into the mother fucking OS in the first place?

Question: Reading an interview with Mike Scuffham, he said the hardest thing about S-Gear was advertising it to people outside of niche forums for it to become a viable business, and that "Marketing is a lot harder than we imagined. The idea of the internet as a viral marketing miracle is something of a myth." What are your thoughts on that? What significant things di

Question: Yes other than turning tricks lol. Anyway, what programming language would you recommend for a beginner to start making a significant income?
Asked by JAGGER (75.128.122.x) on July 21 2014, 10:26pm
Reply on July 21 2014, 10:57pm:
I work for Cockos. If you're looking to earn "significant income", I wouldn't really recommend programming, but if you had to pick a language it seems there's always demand for rails programmers or something. But really it should be something that you're passionate about, programming, otherwise you won't have a good time.
