    Haha, yeah. What you win, though, is to be seen... Personally I'm still listening to mp3 albums and/or vinyl. Listening to songs, meh, haven't really done that since the 90s.

Question: Re: Firewire, haha. Have you tried to leave a firewire cable connected to a port without a device at the other end (bare) and then hibernate the OS? I haven't try it lately but it was FUN... What wrong with firewire in your case? :)

    I haven't had that issue, I meant more the fact that Windows XP SP2 and later (including Win7) can't deal with more than about 100mbps of firewire bandwidth, with various firewire audio devices...

Question: Do you overload new/delete/new[]/delete[] in some clever way for the abomination (OSX) so you don't have to link to the STL crap? something like this pastebin.com/HNn008dN but way better...

Question: In retrospect, do you think pushing all of this .net shit down user's throats in terms of security updates & mscorw.exe CPU usage to compile assemblies in the background, etc., is pretty lame given how few killer .net apps are out there?

Question: is music software a bad thing to focus on for a career as a software dev? It is my favorite kind of software to use, but I look at the job pages for NI, Ableton etc and it seems like maybe there aren't many jobs.

Question: My spectrum analyzer is veeeery slowly updating. If I change the block size it is fast, but that's not the right way doing it. What else could I try? Changing the FPS in the constructor (MakeGraphics(...,fps)) does not work.

    Don't update once per block, instead update at a fixed rate (from a timer) using the most recent samples each frame

Question: Trying to select envelope by simulating mouse click and SetMouseModifier() seems awfully slow. For example: pastebin.com/pSUBdwmk . First while goes through 26 contexts taking 35 sec.
