Question: I work in IT and am not (I think) stupid but I am struggling to understand Docker. I wonder if you can explain it? Maybe you're the one who will make it "click" with me.

    hah ok - well I don't use Docker either, but it seems to be essentially a more robust "chroot"-type system, where you can isolate a bunch of processes and filesystems into the docker, to avoid having to change things system-wide. so it's sort of half way between running everything on the server, and running virtual machines on the server.
