I have the impression you have been the sole developer of REAPER for a long time (which is an amazing tour de force in itself). When did you hire your first employee, and how many full time developers are there today ?

I was only the sole developer of REAPER for a short time, then soon after it got limping along, Christophe started contributing. Schwa joined a couple of years later (or so, I forget, it's been so long!), then a couple of years ago Christophe left and JeffOS started contributing... so there you go.
