Hi there. How would you go about creating a tiny "filter" in Windows that would add some gain to an incoming signal? Similar concept to ddmf.eu/virtual-audio-stream/but just simple gain.

Yes, our church records the sermon from the mixer (Firewire), but the signal is very low and I think this is causing the recording to fail. I want something to sit in between the mixer and the software that adds gain before it hits the software.

Hmm, is the connection from the mixer to the computer digital or analog? You could put gain in the record FX on the REAPER side, but if the mixer is outputting too low I'd try to fix that.

It's digital (Firewire). I think the problem is due to the gain staging for lots of headroom through the main speakers (which I don't want to change). I have since discovered Windows APO's, and this software:
