Is it true C++ has serious issues with memory management? If so, how do you deal with it?

  • Posted by Justin on July 16 2021, 5:21pm:
I'm not sure what you mean exactly?

  • Posted by Vitali (88.156.138.x) on July 16 2021, 8:35pm:
    I mean memory freeing

  • Posted by Justin on July 17 2021, 2:04am:
    Memory leaks? Double-frees? Memory fragmentation?

  • Posted by Vitali (88.156.138.x) on July 17 2021, 8:07am:
Rather overcomsuption for no apparent reason.

  • Posted by Justin on July 18 2021, 2:05am:
You can definitely write things that leak memory, and you can have heap fragmentation... "no apparent reason" is likely to be "because of factors you don't understand" I guess?

I think I understand it now. You just have to remember to manage memory everywhere. :)
