Question: Is there a reason why your excellent oversampling feature in REAPER was not replicated in any of your VST plugins? Perhaps that will be redundant, right, as the DAW has it? But is it because it is difficult to code from scratch in VSTs? I checked some opensource plugins that has oversmpling but it's like they used JUCE's ready made overamplijg classes. Trying to find one built from scratch and learning from it. Want to implement it in a VST3 plugin

Yeah better to let the host do it, then you can optionally keep it oversampled for multiple plug-ins too rather than going back and forth.

So in a nutshell, it is too much/difficult to do at the plugin level from scratch and own code, right? you once talked about using your built-in SRC algorithms to do it?

For instance, since you have done it at the DAW level, if you were to implement it in ReaComp from scratch, per your assessment, that's insane without some dependency??

it would be fine to do it, not that hard, just not worth the trouble imo. you can use r8brain-free if you want to do it yourself, or the WDL_Resampler which has lower latency and different tradeoffs/modes.
