Question: Were there any difficulties with REAPER supporting Windows 11 ? I wonder if something changed in Windows under the hood, related to audioworld software.

I haven't heard of any yet really but we'll see. Normally new Windows versions just work. MS is exceptional about backwards compatibility.

Question: I asked ChatGPT an easy thing, but it failed to do it properly. I asked it to ask me perfect fifth above any music note, then I answer it, and it have to tell me whether it is correct or not. So, when it ask me, and when I answer it, it rather give perfect fifth above my answer note, instead of telling me whether my answer note is correct perfect fifth above question note or not, LOL

Question: How does REAPER implement normalization to LUFs?
Asked by Alison (173.68.72.x) on February 10 2023, 4:51am
Reply on February 10 2023, 5:17pm:
By doing a superset of the LUFS analysis -- in LUFS normally you throw away certain statistical bins, but we keep them around so we can predict how gain changes will affect the LUFS measurement, so that we know how much gain to apply. There's a lot more detail to it obviously but it is noteworthy that LUFS normalizing isn't as simple as "calculate LUFS, apply gain"

Not sure, but hyperthreading generally isn't great for realtime audio so probably good to turn it off! Other than that you should be plenty of power, no?

Question: hey jf- you know with the jsfx default input & output meter on each side... is there a way to make any design with them particular meters visually? (can they easily be swapped with another type?)

Reply on February 3 2023, 1:56am:
You can theme them globally, but other than that you can hide them and then write your own metering in @gfx if you want
